QUESTION 10
Why should I choose Vet Cancer Consultants?
Medical oncology is a vast and often confusing field. It can also be difficult to keep up with all of the latest publications. I can help guide you through all of this information, allow you to give your clients the answers they're seeking, and do that quickly.
My consultations are incredibly thorough. I not only include the latest research, but numerous options. Cancer treatment is not one-size-fits-all (nor one budget fits all for that matter), and I understand that. I will give you real options for the patient you are treating, not just the disease.
I am committed to helping you continue to provide the highest level of care for all of your patients.
QUESTION 11
Tips for helping us give you a great consult!
- The more information you can provide the easier it is for me to give you a great consult!
- Measure tumors prior to surgery and on exam using calipers, in two dimensions
- Measure enlarged lymph nodes on exam using calipers, record longest dimension
- Use the same scale to weigh chemo patients at each visit for consistency
- Avoid full body radiographs. Collimating improves our ability to detect metastasis when present
- Studies have shown that 3-view radiographs are more likely to detect metastasis than 2-view. We recommend submitting 3-view thoracic and 3-view abdominal radiographs to give you the most accurate read possible
all reports are completed by The end of The next business day
